A Song That Means...

...a lot to me. it's basically me. the whole thing. from different perspectives. how my closest friends see me and how i see myself. it also gave me some damn good advice last summer when it was released.

Say you to me
You're a bird with an eye for anything shiny
Searchin' the land
For a hero of a man
You say I need
More than my fair share of attention
But I think you know
That just isn't so

Underneath, I felt the fire of a burning question
Tearin' me apart
Right from the very start
And now I see
That it don't take a trick of the light to excite me
So strong
So long
You'll see

Hold on
To what you've been given lately
Hold on
To what you know you've got
Hold on
To what you've been given lately
Hold on
Cause the world will turn if you're ready or not

Simplicity
A heart of gold, an old head, on young shoulders
Quiet and lovely
Becomin' part of me
And now I see
From a handful of names and a thousand faces
One light, burnin', fiercely

I was tired of January
I was tired of June
I felt a change a-comin'
Oh, I was tired of January
Tired of June
I felt a change a-comin'
Oh, I felt a change a-comin
I felt a change a-comin
felt a change a-comin, soon

Hold on
To what you've been given lately
Hold on
To what you know you've got
Hold on
To what you've been given lately
Hold on
Cause the world will turn if you're ready or not

Oh yeah, well the world will turn if you're ready or not
Oh, yes the world will turn if you're ready or not

I Really Hate...

people passing comment on F1 whenthey know nothing about it.

the people i am immediately sure do not know anything about F1 are the people who only started watching it because of Lewis Hamilton.

these are the people who are the most voiceiferous (ignore spelling u know what i mean) in chat room, on youtube comments, on facebook etc.etc.

these people have absolutely no understanding of driver ettiquette, or of any of the long standing F1 rules.

AND YET.....

they still pass comment on everything "ferrari are evil...blahblahblah FIA are in their pocket....blahblahblah"

BOLLOCKS TO THAT!!!

i mean seriously the only team who have cheated in the recent history of the sport are Maclaren for fucksake!!!!!

putting all the bias against ferrari to one side (hamil-humpers only dislike them because they kick hamiltons arse constantly and they discovered that lewis was only winning races last year because of a) his tailormade 10 year in development just for him car and b) its bolted on bits of ferrari.

YES hamilton has talent YES one day he may well be a great driver BUT he is not the reincarnation of ayrton senna (and lewis you did say you drove better than senna at monaco, therefore you did say you were better than senna therefore your talking out your arse when you say you haven't said that) AND had any other driver in the field been spoon fed by maclaren since he was an infant, he would be exactly where lewis is.

Hamilton reminds me a lot of Montoya. he used to do dangerous and reckless things like diving around in front of other peoples cars! (thats twice hes done it to kimi now, but he wont crash unless its wet lewis, he has better grip than you i the dry)

seriously i don't hate hamilton. i understand that a certain amount of bravado and confidence and even arrogance is needed to be the F1 champion (my favourite driver is Kimi for fucksake) but he needs to stop trying to be all holier than though, i'd like him a lot better if he just dropped the fake "nice-boy" persona.

ok i should probably stop now, i expect i'll get hateful comments on the post by people who have only watched F1 for 18 months and know Senna only as Hamiltons hero.

...i followspotted gerry and the pacemakers today. how cool am i.

Shoe Update...

...it's all good.

mother has agreed to pur-chase for me the beautiful shoes of my previous post as a birthday gift!!

so i was free to buy these shoes to match my dress!
the only downside is that i'll be 6'3" and unable to drive safely. i shall take some pumps for driving too and from the church and brychan is geting lifts for his shoes!

Me = LadyZilla

(like image of me tearing buldings down, like ANTM shoot in S11E05.)

may change to talking like this. Marian Keye's new book written in this style. i enjoy. reminds me of how i hear Kate talk in head.

tootle bye XD

I have decided...

....to stop hating lewis hamilton out-loud. as the more mean i get the more kimi crashes.

and hating people is bad for your soul anyway.

i am all alone in our family home. mother is in greece which is nice for her.

i realised today i haven't been in the living room since she went off. very random. but i tend to watch stuff on my laptop...which is in my room. plus my nice snuggley bed is waaaay better than a sofa anyway :)

kisses

Hamilton - The Man I Hate

well kate was wrong about me blogging more...

Lewis Hamilton. he is without doubt the biggest cock pocket to come out of britain since bernie ecclestone himself.

not only does he ditch his childhood sweetheart for a bimbo his dad picked out for him with a colour chart. not only does he have 9 autobiographies. and not only does he invite people to watch him race who give the black power salute to the cameras.
but he is underhand enough to dive around the race track in treachorous conditions in order to drive his rival off the racetrack almost certainly as revenge for him passing him on the outside (which he says, is undoable) in the first lap. AFTER he made a mistake, a couple of corners after i might add so it probably wasn't because of his mistake.

he then cheers and celebrates his stolen victory without checking whether or not the man he drove off the track is actually in one piece.

Lewis Hamilton is a world-class twunt. if there was a championship for the worlds biggest twunt i would support him every step of the way to gaining his rightful title.

however in F1 where he is no more talented than half the pack, hes just had a tailor made car, he will never truly be world champion in anything oher than name. because to be world champion in F1 humanity, decency, and a sense of driving ettiquette is required.

oh and i would have thought having your dad hold your balls for you wouldbe a clear disqualification. isn't that tampering with the driver/car package?

The Non-Student

oh my...i graduated yesterday.

that means i'm a non smoking adult.

who doesn't get to learn in lectures anymore (which does actually make me sad as i really do like learning)

graduation was pretty fun :) as was the drinking after.

the best part (tho at the time it made my blood pressure spike) was when they opened the ceremony with a piece written by Bach for the Cello, which was played on the piano. it wasn't listed as among the music to be played (i'd already had a moment over pachelbel's canon) and when the opening bars hit home i knew that my dad was there in spirit, or maybe it was just a sign from Her that he would have been proud had he lived.

i bet i just made Kate cry...

Starting to think...

...that as its the holidays i should be posting more, no excuses of uni work hehe.

weeeeeeeeell i went to Le Mans 24hr last week, which was pretty awesome. we built a beer mountain out of 362 bottles (thats 180 odd pints) and finished off at least another 60 odd pints once the tetrabeerdron as brychan calls it was finished. these last pints were obtained due to the ingenuity of polish Fil and myself trudging around the campsite offering to buy beer! (and also by brych an cliff who contributed with one case n some heiniken) the final 'steal' count was 52 bottles of Kronenbourg, 2 Bulmers, 12 Stella, 6 Heiniken, a bottle of wine, a pack of baccy with rizla and a party invite at which we got more beer all for the grand total of 22 euros. me thinks we did ok.

i took over 1500 photos (some being deleted for crapness) which are being added to flickr as i write this, very slowly as the tool keeps overloading!

in other news i didn't get into RADA which is now of cos it means i got a 1.4 Feista Zetec '07 reg with a tech toy package instead :) but now i have to earn lots of money to pay off my debts and become a real person. i'm still gonna apply for RWCMD for Feb tho just to see if they want me or need more professional experience.

right i have a feeling my smiley faces are burning and Robin Hood is calling
