i'm getting rather excited about my post-grad options. i know i know i haven't finished one uni course yet so why am i getting all het-up about another one! mainly because the RADA course would suite me perfectly, the Central course would be good for me (if stupidly expensive) the Welsh Col course is relatively cheap lol and although the Lamda one is too long i may as well apply anyway.

those are all the ones i've looked at so far but i'm gonna get applying over christmas i think. may as well get in there early! plus RADA and LAMDA both do course in the summer (again the RADA one looks better) which i shall be applying for. the main issue so far is whether or not i want to specialise in just Lighting design an electrics or should i be smart and study Stage Managament too on the Welsh Col course?

i think those of you who know me well know that i don't really give a fig (great expression) about SM and i love my lighting so i just have to be incredibly sparking in the RADA app as they only take 3 students a year.

but can you imagine...me....at RADA.....fooking awesome.

....how much blogging my sister has been doing over the last week. crazy mare :) sooooooooooo whats new with me hmmmm not much really. my birthday was a sad repeat of last year but without the 'ricay re-inforcements, instead of no drama paople coming out it was no tref people, other than Sean who is my sean :) but its those that put the effort in i count as my mates :) 2 of brychans mates came in from bath and oxford, and they've only met me a few times therefore i like brychans mates :)

uni is uni, i hae a proposal due in next week, i think i want to do my applied work in the royal british legion home thats nearby somewhere, i think i can learn a lot from veterans like those :) tho they'll probably all hold with the idea that drama is for cissys lol.

i have a job! (i should post more lol) its at the Office concession in the giant topshop in town. i'm enjoying it so far, mainly cos of all the pretty shoes i get to look at, i dont enjoy it so much when a customer asks for the pretty shoes and i have to balance on a ladder and try not to fall off while pulling out the right box! but i got a free pair of sexy silver wrap around boots and i get 35% off which is niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

i'm off to see Macbeth next week which will be rather fabulous as it has the swoonirific Patrick Stewart in it (ok not so swoony but hes a damn good actor)

i got awesome things for my birthday including.... A Necklace made our of quartz and amethyst into a triskele :) some nuclear waste containers a pink leatherman, a funky funky mask, a photo hangy thing, a duck keyring, a meh t-shirt, an Audrey Hepburn belt (drooooool), a nemo balloooon, many drinks and a lovely Dante's Divine Comedy edition from the Bath boys and i think lucy but i'm not sure who to give the credit too lol.

things with me n brychan are awesome :) he is far too good to a moany old cow like me :) tho i suppose he does get beer out of the deal...oh and smarties cookies :)

here i am

after a long abscence of more than a month i have returned to the world of blog. a lot has happened in the last month, the main thing being that my dad died. it was rather sucky.

i'm fed up with everyone being worried about me. i do not need to be worried about. i've coped with death far too many times already to go catatonic in a corner.

i miss him tho i find myself noticing things i should tell him about or wondering what kind of bird just flew over my head. but wherever he is now he will be without pain i hope.

so anyway enough of that morbid crap (u see why people are worried?) me, my mum kate and anthony and my brychan went to center parcs at the weekend for my mums 60th birthday celebrations. it was legendary. had so very much fun and drank far too much wine. i think i shall lay off the sauce for a few days for i am concerend for my kidneys lol.

i duno what eles to say realy uni is fun, pretty hardcore in the lectures and i havn't been doing enough outside of the lectures but i shall rectify that one!

oh and brychan has a free house until november 1st. so i have the feelign i'll be spending a large amoutn of time in Barry over the next couple of weeks!!

Shock.

I just got a horrible shock.

oh i thought i'll just back up all the files on my laptop while i pack! thats a good idea....problem was i hadn't fully comprehended how much i'd lost when my laptop crashed in april. i thought i'd at least backed everyhing up from before christmas, but no i flipped through my photo and files CDs and see that the furthest they go is august 2006. so i basically lost all the original copies of everthing i photographed after that time. including all my photograpy work for the 2nd module all the nights out i;d been on and every shot i'd ever taken with my digital SLR.

you can imagine the sinking feeling. in fact i still have that sinking feeling as i write this. sur ei know i have all my favourite photographs backed up on flickr. but thats not the same as having he originals on disc. its just a horrible feeling!

i shll now endeavor to back up every single file on my laptop. i hope i have enough discs...

harry potter was absolutely awesome, met more cool people at Kates work and read a totally amazing book, also realised how very much i miss customer service (i'll look back on this after 6 months of working next uni year n swear at myself) seriously tho the book is so good. im so gonna be reading it again VERY soon :)

and i just bought a Creative Zen V+ which is a very funky little MP3 player. its 4gb and i got it for a damn good price! (fuck off mum it isn't extravagent its a good deal and its gonna be really useful to me i do Drama Theatre and MEDIA therefore i need some kidn of semi-decent modern MEDIA player) grr

i have also been feeling a lot of rage recently about racism, mainly in songs that are about now a days which noone other than me and a few friends seem to have spotted the racist content. the song that gets me the most is Mama Africa by Akon, listen to or read the lyrics and hopefully you'll pick up what i mean. i just feel so frustrated about the one-way definition of racism, it is prejudice against any race, which does include caucasions (and yes i know i can't spell) i don't want anyoen to think i'm being racist myself about this song just because it's a black musician, i simply feel that it aggrevates me that if a song of this ilk were produced by a white musician it would not necessarily be accepted in the way in which the song by Akon is. i respect him as a muscian but as a person i think he appears to be a pretentious nob. and yes i am just jealous of the amount of money he makes.

So then, i haven't been up to much exciting since returning to essex, been out a few times n got drunk and worked lots (41 days to go) then brychan came up for 4 days at the weekend and for sarahs birthday which combined made it one of the best weekends i've ever had at home!

and i'll end that paragraph there, we all know i tend to lean toward the morbid when at home!

soooooooo work is basically jsut that, tho i must say a whole week of matching up letters to ARFs then doing it all over with the right letters (thanks frances) is probably right up there with checking for consent no. 3's from last year! but lunch is fun although i did nearly get taken out on the zebra crossing today which scared the shit out of me, the car was literally an inch from my legs when it came to a stop!

headed off to see Potter tomoro night with the Sarahs, gonna try deperately to re read the book before then so i can moan about it being wrong all the way thro! tho i expect i'll still get upset at the end!

oh and wooooooooooo i got a 2:1 in my 2nd year, the highlights of the marks being a nice fat 76 in Design and 74 in independant study, which was lucretia Borgia! so wooooo

LeMans was rather fabulous, thought it rained the entire time, well it didnt rain for like 6 hours on sunday then we put on suncream and it went "oh no you dont!" n bucketed it down instead. i got so very wet, and so did my camera bag. mah but still awesome.

me n Brychan spent a few days in bath too, well we actually spent more days in bath than we did in france lol, that was great, he has a really awesome group of mates n it was rather fun. lots of laughs n stuff.

the last 2 weeks have seemed like forever but rushed by really fast if that makes any kind of sense, all i can say is i'm pretty damn happy with the welshman, and the 3 months of holidays, instead of feeling like forever and that theyr never gonna end, actually look as if theyr gonna go by really fast. tis good :) and its Reading Festival in like 60 days!!! WWWWOOOOOOOO!!!

buzzing around like a very busy thing. had the 2nd year pracs which went well, then a week of popular theatre which was bloody hilarious, ending in a performance where i got to stab myself in the throat after strangling lenny n smothering bridie. bring it! bloody awesome hehe then it was the conference yesterday all essays in ll work done im finished with the 2nd year!!! woooooop

in the meantime i have fallen madly in love iwth a welshman. yes i know your all very disappointed in me. im a bad person with terrible taste in men but u knew that anyway so why are u giving me that look?!? its cool, he makes me happy, even when hes being a bit of a dick i just wait around 10 mins n hes a nice guy again hehe, even threatened to decapitate highlander for telling his girlfriend id come onto him, oh and by the way they hadnt split up when i was seeing him. i foudn this out cos the lovely girlfriend stood next to me at the bar n said "you're a slag aren't u, yeh u r, uve snogged my boyfriend" which caused me to have an internal explosion but i walked calmly away, when her mates came up to me laughing and joking (male mates) and said "your a fucking slag aren't you" i lost my rag a little so while i was in the toilets screaming down the phone to sean brychan had a quiet word with them telling them to go fuck themselves. anyway this all led ot me talking to the girl and filling her in on a few things about her stinky boyfriend. mainly that he'd come onto me, he was a wanker and no, he has spent the last year and a half stalking dori not the other way around.

went out for lennys birthday on tues...managed not to hurl!

um... my 2nd year directing prac is at 12ish on the 14th so i am trying to not panic...ain't happening since i am still lacking four red habits. but my chairs looks hot! i am currently hoping that theediting i did today will NOT have the annoying cracks at the end of each track which have no reason to be there grrrrr.

im so tired right now im a little woozy

i've spent a total of 100 quid in tescos this week but that does include cleaning stuff and beer! so only about 75 of it was on food :S

thats right sports fans i'm back in the welsh valleys ready for the end of my 2nd year...SHIT

its sunny as hell, i've had a nice man entertaining me for the last couple of days and i helped dori figure out how to build a cage with drainpipes and flower pots. its just a sham i havn't actualy done any of my work yet! i'll be stealing kellys eyes later for my final photograph and then i shall be tweeking away at them for the rest of the day!

i got a free packet of sugar with my shopping! woo lol

it was 4 years since george was killed on the 17th, i think this year is the best i've coped with it! only had a very small moment when i thanked brychan for being such a good distraction! lol i've done and seen so much in the 4 years since, i can safely say i am no longer the little bitch who could be very thoughtless with her sharp tongue, all life is too precious to belittle with petty comments, sure i may still make cutting remarks but i do my best never to say anything that could genuinely hurt someone.

maaaah i swear whenever i think i should write a long entry i get all melancholy, which is just wrong when listeing to idina menzel singing the wizard and i, which is an uplifting and amusing song! "since folks round here seem to be, fixated on you're vertigree" LOVE IT.

sorry im feeling rather shakespearian at the moment

well i dont have much to add only that i went out on monday and it was fookin awesome! and then i went to work and tuesday and it asn't quite so good! brychan and sean have been doing a good job of entertaining me at work tho. but im so gonna call all the stupid careless interviewers at some point and tell them what i think of them!

oh yeah! kate n anthony were down at the weekend which was awesome, hadnt looked at the old family pics for a very long time and i am so very glad i no longer dye my hair dark red! the holidays in france all came rushing back tho, before my dad got how he is, we used to have so much fun! we still now have some fun but i guess i should be thankful for those moments of clarity that let me know hes still in there somewhere! but yes kate n athony were awesome even if kimi did come third and massa was being a gay!

third year pracs again! wooo! excpt im not soley in charge of any this year im jus helping out with bits of rigging and lighting design, still i expect ill get very drunk with all the 3rd years on friday jus like last year, at least the folks wont be picking me up at 8am! sigh

so anyway it was dans Anchorman birthday do yesterday started drinking at 1 stopped about 2am oh dear i vaguely remember everythin especially that i bought the boys a bloody case of carling for beer pong! insane i am i really really am! i have been very sneaky and am keeping my rent money until the loans come in on the 23rd of april, cos beky said i can pay her then and i have 10 quid to last me a month and a credit card, credit card is not good, especially since i jus had to fork out for 2 reading tickets lol. oh dear kate don't say anythin to mum! i probably will tell her at some point and she can yell and ill give her back half or somethin but im poor :( and this savesher giving me any other money!

with the entertainment provided by my sister and sean i feel very reluctant to post in case i can't match them for humor! but hey i suppose i better have a go.

not much has been happening, we appear to have some kind of creature in our house that eats other peoples food, so far its had my new bottle of lemonade, a pack of Salami and most of a jar of peaunut butter. and since kelly has her own, beky hates it, and pip doesn't eat smooth peaunut butter i'm starting to think i might be sleep eating!

not much else has been going on, my funds have gone from bad to worse with the occurence of too many birthday and special events in march, im scared to look at my credit card bill lol and my account balance! i had one of those weekends where money jus seems to go even tho i tried not to let it stupid snap decisions like going into marks n sparks will be the end of me! time ot extend my overdraft i think!

ugh i hate being poor i'm not used to it! and i cant find any work so looks like im stuck, plus theres no way i'll ask my mum for any money cos shes poor as it is, i need a nice rich man to buy me drinks...but i live in wales and they're all five-foot tall and about the same wide, i miss my nice well muscled lean men! ah well.

shows over folks!

well not today it was over on saturday night....but since i've been holed up in bed with flu since havn't really had the clarity of mind to wirte a fascinating blog entry! and as this is a hopefully prolonged lucid moment, i had a couple of hours yesterday morning but they faded as the day advanced lol, thought i'd better do me a lil entry!

the show in glam was awesome :) especially since on thrudays Saz, Lucy Pol n Beky all came to see it :) they seemed to really enjoy it! the look on Sazzles face during the final scene was priceless! Pip, Costello (and heres the biggy) SEAN and Dan came on the friday, Costello was scared shitless by Montefeltros entrance (hahahaha its a woman in a CLOAK with her arm painted BLACK costello!) and i was incredibly flattered by Seans presence, especially since it was his first ever play, and eh only blacked out through some of it! LOVE IT! well hs n dans fav bits were the Lighting changes and they hastily headed for the pub after (im guessing the real favourite bits were when me n emma kept buying them drinks in appreciation of their effort) and then of course saturday night was the final night! got nicely tipsy on Cava on set, Prof Hand gave us a little sing-song there were thanks and group photos all round then we all went to the pub and got slaghtered! like really drunk at like 5 o'clock hence why i didnt realise until late on sunday that what i had was flu and hangover not just a hangover. not good dude.

so its goodbye to Lucretcia Borgia and hello to life! altho now the Handmaid's Tale starts in earnest with lots of "how to be a puppet" training from me and lots of moanin from my actors lol.

off home on friday for padge B'day, we're goin to the comedy club so shud be awesome despite lack of funds!

so....

i do apologeise for my lack of posting, actually no i dont ive been busy! spent lke 10 hours on trains on tues and weds, and got stuck in liverpool street which sucked lol anyway..

the shit hath hiteth the fan-eth with luctretia, between me n claire we have the entire set to paint! it gonna take at least 2 days barring mistakes with the spackling, and i have to do the lighting design, i have some ideas but nothig concrete yet, i jus need to sit down for an hour or so and go through it but i dont seem to have the time! and we have to make the plaques, and the sign which has to be punched and shatter without hurting Oli's hand!!!
on a lighter note i've come up with a nice political spin for my directing piece, its from The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood so therefore its a very feminist piece, about powerlessness and the like, so im gonna find some symbol of Burma (Myanmar) and the plight of their leader Aung Sang Su Kyi.
